Adel church of St. John the Baptist, was built in 1150-1170 and is
described as "one of the best and most complete Norman churches in
Yorkshire"
The 'sanctuary ring/' knocker is a replica of one stolen in 2002 (and we want it back ... please keep your eyes peeled).
These experimental scans are to investigate the use of 3D photogrammetry on building size features AND smaller artifacts.
The church model has significant 'holes' between the church and boiler house. I'll have to watch that!
Also the wall to the left of the door limited access to that side of
the knocker resulting in feature loss (e.g the creatures left eye)
